You don’t really expect much from a restaurant inside a gas station, but this place surprised me. I come to this gas station often and never realized they’d been here for three years. I’m pretty picky, but the two young gentlemen working made the experience great. The one taking my order was smiling and laughing the whole time and stayed patient even though I kept changing my order. The other young gentleman had my food ready in about 10 minutes. The food was great, especially the Original sandwich. My only complaint is that I wish they had more combo meals. I’ll definitely be back.

Where do I start? We ordered a burger, chicken tenders & fries (Cajun & Salt N Pepper). The Garlic Parm sauce tastes straight up like 5 Cheese Italian dressing, it’s was nasty. The southern fried tenders had no Southern in it, very bland. The burger, by looked was very appealing… but that as well was very bland; no seasoning at all. We also got ranch, house sauce & the buffalo Cajun ranch; all of the sauces were extremely watery… it’ll drip from the fry about 4 times before it reaches your mouth. The fries were decent, the staff was friendly… but I’ll have to rate it a 2/10 because the ranch was decent just watery. 1/2 tender, two bites of the burger & all of the fries is all that was eaten. Waste of money, I would highly not recommend this place. Everyone’s taste buds are different so I suggest you give them a try for yourself 🙂

My fiance got the smash burger and said it’s the best burger he’s ever eaten, it came out looking fantastic and the guy was supperrrr nice. Awesome place food is delicious. Fry’s were absolutely perfect.

I used to think that Wing Snob had the absolute best tenders due to their size, breading and juiciness. Side Chic’s blows them out of the water along with every other spot in Detroit/Dearborn (Savvy Sliders, Checkers, KFC, Chic Fil A, Chick N Kingz etc.) The breading on the tenders is very, very flavorful. They also put the perfect amount of breading on each tender. I absolutely hate overbreaded tenders where it feels like you’re chewing through multiple layers till you hit chicken. Side Chic’s avoids this completely by having a nice layer of breading that adds flavor and doesn’t distract from the chicken. The chicken itself is hot, juicy and well textured. This is not rubbery, dry chicken. The only other way I can describe it is it just tastes fresh. I was thoroughly impressed. Side Chic’s is a carry out spot that’s open very, very late (which is awesome). Everyone who works there is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Also, even though the chicken is fresh and made to order, your food comes out in a fairly quick manner. I really can’t say enough good things about Side Chic’s. Best Chicken Tenders I’ve had in the Detroit/Dearborn area!

I got the chicken sandwich and it was really good. I would give it an 8.8 out of 10. I believe one of the key aspects to good food is how fresh it is and this was fresh. Everyone was happy with their food and service was great 😊. The only down side is the seating area is small and you buy your drink at the gas station. But the food is well worth it 😋
